If anyone is still reading after my long silence, I thought I’d say a few words. I’m excited about this summer and fall. God is up to something! Our recent Encounter Retreat blew the doors off. It was so inspiring to see people cry out to God with such desperation. There were reports of physical healing, [...] I just got home from our small group. It was our final lesson on how to study the Bible. Next week, we just have a potluck, and we’re done. Reflecting on the last 7 weeks we’ve enjoyed together, I feel we reached our goal. Every person in the room said they would recommend this course to [...] Well, October 15 is apparently when medical professionals expect the swine flu will peak here in North America, and I heard today there are already a few cases in Toronto. As a church, we believe in an incredible healing, preserving God who takes care of His people. However, we recognize one of the ways He [...] Got home from the first night of our small group “How to Study the Bible” a couple hours ago now. What a great time! We talked about our feelings about the Bible, about small groups, and about Christianity in general, then worshiped God and watched the “Living by the Book” DVD by Howard Hendricks, did [...] Man, I can’t wait for our small group to start tomorrow! Yvonne and I just had a great time at Matt & Theresa Capson’s place, hanging out and praying together for our group. They’re hosting it for us at their home, and we’re going to have 12 people altogether, learning how to study the Bible [...] This past weekend, OCC hosted our Reignite the Fire Marriage Conference, with guests Bill & Pam Farrel.
