Sunday, I preached on leaving the past behind. I know this is an issue everyone has to confront. Here is a quick recap: 3 biblical metaphors that describe the dangers of dwelling on the past: Putting your hand to the plow and looking back causes you to make a mess of the present and the future. All of us have a personal pendulum. It’s the part of you that God created to freak out and run the other way when something bad happens. Time has the same effect on your pendulum that gravity does on the one pictured here. As we mature, we’re supposed to become less extreme, more steady, less [...] Don’t know about you, but there is just no way I am good enough for Heaven. That’s why I’m thankful for Jesus.
