I can’t get away from this word: amometa. It’s even fun to say: ammo-MEAT-a. It’s the Greek word translated “without fault” in this verse: Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God WITHOUT FAULT in the midst of a crooked and perverse genearation, among whom you shine [...] This morning, I read this. Which led me on a hunt to find out just HOW God works in us “to will and to do” for His good pleasure. Reflecting on this further, Christ did not die for who you were; He died for who you would become if He died for you.
